    Little City of Rocks

    North of Gooding on highway 46

    A place to hike and see some of the most interesting and beautiful geology in Idaho.  Find yourself among ancient hoodoos rock formations that are both beautiful and eerie at the same time.  In the spring there are tons of streams and waterfalls to be found as well as off trail hikes and bouldering opportunities around every corner.  There are no facilities so bring water, food and sun gear.  Always be aware of snakes and ticks.

    Shoshone Indian Ice Caves

    1561 N. Highway 75, Shoshone, ID, 208/886-2058

    This natural wonder is actually a lava tube that is 1,000 feet long, with an ice depth ranging between 8 and 30 feet in height.  Take a tour and explore the trails, but be sure to dress warmly, even during the summer months.

    US-20 East for 26 miles.  ID-75 for 26 miles.

    Beautiful towns full of good restaurants and places to shop.

    60-75 minute drive from Fairfield.
